HUL Recommendation in Indonesia

The effort to disseminate the Historic Urban Landscape (HUL) Recommendation in Indonesia has been going on since 2018 through the workshops in Muntok, South of Sumatra (2018), and Banjarmasin, South of Kalimantan (2019) and the publication of the handbook of HUL Quick Scan Method for University Lecturers (2021).  Both workshops and the publication of the handbook were cooperation of the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands and Heritage hands-on, with the Indonesian stakeholders namely Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Trisakti, and Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB). In each city of the workshops, many local stakeholders were involved and their contributions were immensely important to developing a suitable approach to the HUL Recommendation implementation in Indonesia.  UNESCO World Heritage Centre through the World Heritage Canopy has noticed the HUL Recommendation implementation in Indonesia and published it in their platform in June 2022.  World Heritage Canopy   is a living pl
